The number cards in The Hermit's Tarot Luminary Edition depict the symbolic essence of each of the four suits as it manifests in each of the ten numbers. As many others have done, I have equated the suits with the elements of the ancients and numbers with the sephiroth on the Tree of Life. The connotations of the elements and the sephiroth have been somewhat adapted, though, to suit my own purposes. The table here shows the keywords I use in establishing the meaning of each card. A hyperlink on a keyword leads to a page showing the card image and elaborating on its meaning.
