The High Priestess

To me the High Priestess is a card that tells me it's time to take a step back, take a good look at my surroundings or situation, and to look within for the answer. It's a card that relates to the unconscious, to intuition, it tells me to trust my instincts. It is also a card that denotes secrecy, maybe on your own part, maybe on others. It tells me to take my time, to let my unconscious work for a while to give me wisdom and the answer to my questions. This feminine card is reinforced by its ruling planet, the moon. The design for this card was with me almost the moment I found out I was to work on it - intuition at work again, I guess! I'm pleased with the way it turned out, for me at least, it conveys all the feelings I have described above.
