Plant List

It's not always easy to acquire plants for the kind of breeding program I'm pursuing. I've found that one must be vigilant and snatch up suitable plants as they appear in the catalogs of iris specialists or the plant and seed exchanges of iris societies. In addition, rock garden / alpine nurseries and clubs can be an important source of iris species. A word of caution, however: I have found some of the alpine nurseries selling misnamed plants. The Iris pumila from Arrowhead Alpines, as well as Iris hoogiana, I. pumila (dark violet), and probably I. taurica from Beaver Creek Greenhouses were all misnamed.
