The Devil

The Devil represents the dark side that we all possess, but usually fear or repress. He is usually depicted as half man, half beast, and represents duality as in Satan and Lucifer, dark and light. He reminds us that we possess both good and evil aspects of our nature. It is thought that selecting him offers an opportunity to look within in a deeper way than we usually do, with the accompanying possibility of unblocking parts of ourselves that we might typically find embarrassing or unpleasant.
